GUYS CHECK OUT THE SAMA NIGHT ONE

SAMA WINNERS - NIGHT 1

The first night of the South Africa Music Awards is done and
dusted, it was an incredible event. I watched it all from the comfort
of my personal computer at home. Very far away from Sun City
where is was all happening. Last year I sat next to Locnville, this
year I'm nowhere to be seen there. Damn, Wonted done fallen. LOL!!
So unfortunately I have no pics to accompany this article, but here
is the info anyway.
The highlight of the night was the live tributes to the legendary Ray
Phiri and Vusi Mahlasela. It's so great to honour legends while they
are still alive. This year, the two local and legendary artists are
receipts of the Lifetime Achievement Awards. The audience was
treated to spectacular performances by Stimela, Kabomo, Solly
Mahlangu, Lira, Sipho Hotstix Mabuse and more, all in honour of
the Bra Ray and Papa Vusi. Ray Phiri and Vusi also performed
together too. It was so wonderful something that I personally think
should have been added to tomorrow's programme. The whole
country needed to to see that.
Oh, the MCs for the night were comedians Tumi Morake and Tats
Nkonzo (I wonder what his really name is, he probably has a funny
government name, you know these comedians and rappers). But the
two held it down proper, made the guests comfortable and got them
laughing to some new and clean jokes. That's all we need from an
MC. With tomorrow's 9 MCs though...eish! We'll see...
Anyway, without any waste of time, here are the winners for the 1st
leg of the 18th annual South African Music Awards.Be sure to catch
the 2nd leg of the awards tonight on SABC 1, just after
Generations.
